All About Me

I was born and raised right here in Marshall County!  I went to Benton Elementary in the old building as well as Benton Middle School.  I graduated from Marshall County High School in 1994.  I went on to Murray State University to pursue my dream of being a teacher.  I received a Bachelor of Science degree from MSU and began teaching in 1999.  I later received my master's degree in Administration and am currently working on my Rank I degree.  Before coming to Benton Elementary, I taught in Clarksville, TN, Lexington, KY, and Murray, KY.   I taught for 11 years and have been an administrator for a year and a half.

I am married to Ted Booth, who teaches and coaches at Murray Middle School.  We have been married for 11 years and have two cats at home, Lady and Tigger.   We are big football fans and enjoy going to games.   I enjoying reading, running, swimming, biking, camping, boating, snow skiing, and scuba diving!  My favorite place to travel is to a beach!  My favorite color is orange and I love chocolate and Winnie the Pooh!

I knew I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was in Kindergarten!  I had wonderful teachers at Benton Elementary that inspired me to make my dream come true.  I am so excited to get to know each child in our school.  They always bring a smile to my face and their hugs are priceless.  I am looking forward to a great experience at Benton Elementary School.
